Technical office
The technical hub of our day-to-day operations.
We analyse the client’s requirements and – working closely with all relevant departments – develop the optimal solution to meet the order requirements, prioritising quality and on-time delivery. These are the two key priorities for both our clients and us.
When a project begins, the Technical Office clearly understands its role: ensuring the efficient development and optimisation of the production process and costs for the client, providing technical support to the teams whenever required, and always prioritising on-time delivery.
Die-making
The flawless quality of the components we deliver is entirely dependent on optimal precision and efficiency in the die-making process. At Metric’4, die-making plays a key role in the manufacturing process.
Our die-making team brings together designers, engineers and technicians with extensive experience in metallurgy, working with a strong focus on precision, advanced technology, adaptability and high-quality standards. Our team manufactures moulds, dies and machining tools.
Component forging
We select the most suitable material for your project to ensure the best finish. Components are forged at high temperatures using a high-precision process made possible by carefully engineered dies.
We operate six fully equipped forging lines with friction screw, flywheel, hydraulic and eccentric presses ranging from 450 to 1,600 tonnes.
We have mastered the forging process for materials such as steels, stainless steel (303, 304, 316 and 316L), superalloys (duplex, super duplex and Alloy 825, among others), aluminium (7000, 6000, 3000 and 2000 series), magnesium and other metals (brass, CuNiSi, aluminium bronze and aluminium bronze alloys).
Complementing the forging area, we operate a cutting section equipped with four automatic circular saws capable of cutting up to Ø160 mm, as well as band saws.
Component machining
As the final stage of the production process, we guarantee precision and versatility to deliver results that meet the highest quality standards.
We operate 24 CNC machines: nine four-axis machining centres, six three-axis machining centres, one twin-spindle CNC lathe with an automatic feeder, and eight CNC lathes.
Finishing
At this stage, we provide a wide range of finishes tailored to each project’s requirements, including anodising, heat treatment, polishing, zinc plating, galvanising, laser marking and micro-drilling. We achieve this through partnerships forged over the past decade with top-tier local, national and international suppliers holding the highest quality certifications.
Once the component has been treated and before delivery, we also provide component assembly options.
With this service, we complete the production cycle for each component, delivering a fully finished product with controlled traceability and the Metric’4 seal of quality and trust.
Quality
At Metric’4, quality is essential at every stage of the process. Cross-process quality control ensures the success of all our projects, delivering reliability and client satisfaction.
This is one of our core values and the reason we are recognised as a trusted partner in the industry. We perform in-process self-checks at each stage, as well as final inspection, statistical control and coordinate measuring machine (CMM) inspection.
